The Monument

The monument was built as a remembrance of the great fire of 1666 in
London.

It is located within walking distance of London Bridge (another popular
tourist attraction), the nearest tube station (on the London underground
network) is monument station on the Circle or District lines. The third
photo has more details about the monument with the current (2006)
admission prices.

Even though the monument is within walking distance of my current place
of work, I haven't been to the top yet! I might try and go back there
one of these days and take some photos from the top of the monument with
my trusty Sony Ericsson K750i.
